The Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (OHRLLS) internship is for two months with an opportunity for extension, depending on the needs of the department. The internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background; the intern's assigned office as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
•Provide written translations into the main functional languages of the Office (English-French, English-Arabic), for a wide variety of texts for use on multiple platforms;
•Provide high quality translations within deadlines
•Help develop and implement a workflow system to manage and prioritise interpretation requests from colleagues
•Attend and support meetings and events convened by the Office.
Other tasks as delegated.
